A Mediterranean Finca Wedding at Son Berga in Alaró, Mallorca

Some wedding settings are beautiful.
Others feel almost unreal.
Nestled in the foothills near Alaró, Son Berga offers one of the most breathtaking natural backdrops in Mallorca. With panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the iconic peak rising behind the estate, it is a venue where nature becomes part of the ceremony. For Naz and Stu, this Mediterranean finca became the setting for a deeply emotional Jewish-Persian celebration that united two traditions with grace and joy.
Getting Ready Near Palma
Both prepared at Bonanza Hotel Illetes, close to Palma, before arriving at Son Berga.
Naz chose to put on her gown only once she reached the venue — a quiet, anticipatory moment framed by warm September light and stone architecture.
As destination wedding photographers and videographers based in Mallorca, we often see how the transition from hotel to finca shifts the atmosphere. At Son Berga, the arrival feels cinematic — mountains unfolding behind olive trees, silence replaced by anticipation.
A Ceremony Framed by Mountains and Traditions
The ceremony incorporated both Jewish and Persian traditions.
Under the chuppah, symbolic elements were carefully arranged — including the mirror and honey, representing clarity and sweetness in marriage.
The mountain backdrop of Alaró elevated the moment visually, while the cultural rituals added emotional depth.
It was intimate yet expansive. Traditional yet entirely personal.
A Couple Session Above the Finca
For portraits, we moved to the upper terrace platform overlooking the estate and the surrounding mountains.
The view stretches endlessly. The air feels still.
The light in September is golden without being harsh.
Naz looked radiant — her presence and elegance harmonizing effortlessly with the Mediterranean landscape.
At Son Berga, drone coverage is not permitted. This means photography and videography rely entirely on composition, perspective, and natural framing — which often results in more intimate storytelling.
Dinner in the Patio with Mountain Views
Dinner was set in the finca’s patio, facing the mountains.
Soft light, elegant floral design, and the warm tones of the architecture created a refined Mediterranean aesthetic. It felt classic without being rigid — luxurious without excess.
As the evening progressed, the atmosphere shifted from emotional to celebratory.
Music, Laughter & the Persian Knife Dance
The fusion of cultures became even more vibrant during the celebration.
Persian music filled the courtyard. Guests danced, laughed, and embraced the energy of the night. The traditional knife dance during the cake cutting added a playful, symbolic highlight — blending heritage with humor.
This was not a quiet wedding. It was expressive. Joyful. Alive.
For wedding videography, celebrations like this are rich in movement, rhythm, and authenticity — moments that feel genuine rather than orchestrated.
